Clase Azul Mescal San Luis Potosí 70 cl. 43%
Premium Mescal
Clase Azul Mezcal San Luis is made from green Salmiana agave, which grows wild in the deserts of San Luis Potosi, located in central Mexico. Mezcal San Luis is a full-bodied variant of the agave spirit mezcal, with a crystal-clear color featuring silver hues and a fragrance of caramel, green chili, sweet fruit, and freshly cut grass. The flavor is herbaceous with notes of caramel, lime peel, and clove, finishing with a spicy and mineral aftertaste.
The red color of the bottle is intended to honor the indigenous Huachichil people of the region. The colorful cap is hand-crafted using a special technique, adorned with threads in various colors. The pattern represents a beautiful desert landscape with mountains, valleys, and vibrant red finches. Each cap requires over three hours of craftsmanship.
Clase Azul is a family-owned producer of premium tequila and mezcal from the small village of Santa Maria Canchesda in Los Altos, the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Their collaboration with and respect for the indigenous Mazahua people and their ancient traditions of ceramics and painting has given Clase Azul its distinctive bottles. Each bottle takes 11 days to craft, and since they are shaped and painted by hand, every bottle is completely unique.
Clase Azul Reposado is aged for 8 months in bourbon barrels. Clase Azul Añejo then uses these barrels for an additional 25 months of aging. Clase Azul Ultra is aged for five years in sherry casks, giving it its deep reddish-brown color and silky smooth character.
