Limitated edition of Writer’s Tears, a composition of two styles of triple-distilled Irish whiskey – single malt and single pot still, finished in barrels previously used for Ice Wine.
The barrels, which held Ice Wine from the Canadian winery Inniskillin, have wonderfully complemented the whiskey’s flavor with intense, natural sweetness. The nose features sweet notes of peaches and apricots, along with the characteristic spice accents of pot still whiskey. On the palate, it’s creamy, floral, with hints of nuts and oak. The finish evokes a fruity compote of mango and lychee. Each barrel of this whiskey was bottled separately.
