Aromas of mulled wine and dark chocolate lead, while on the palate there are notes of spicy mead with cranberry and an underlying fresh citrus in the form of grapefruit. Light tannin and sugary almonds linger in the finish.

The Italian collection expressions were each distilled on 6 December 2010, the spirit aged in traditional Scotch whiskey oak casks for 10 years. On 10 February 2021 it was then moved to Marsala, Amarone and Barolo casks for a further 2 years, resulting in a wonderful trio of single malt Scotch whisky.
