Tarsier Oriental Pink Gin is inspired by the tropical rainforests of Indonesia, the floating markets of Thailand and the abundant fruit stalls of Malaysia. And how does all that taste when it is “boiled down” to gin? The answer is “fruity”! Red dragon fruit and raspberry are vacuum distilled and mixed with a distillate of calamansi, galanga root and 6 more traditional gin botanicals. After the distillation, lychees and more raspberries are added, so the result is a completely new interpretation of pink gin!

Inspired by a culinary adventure in the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand, two friends, Tim and Sherwin, created Tarsier Spirit. The goal was to make a gin that encapsulates the entire Southeast Asian flavor universe. You might associate gin more closely with rainy, gray British moorland, but when the juniper is suddenly joined by galangal root, kampot pepper, Thai chilli and calamansi, the door opens to a world of new flavours. And in fact, the Philippines is probably the country in the world that drinks the most gin!
The distillation takes place in Manchester, where Tim and Sherwin deftly manage two copper-pot stills. All gin is made as a single shot and can be categorized as London Dry, which i.a. means that no flavor, color or large amounts of sugar have been added.
The name tarsier itself refers to a small primate with very large eyes (ghost monkey in Danish), which is also seen on the bottles. It lives only in Southeast Asia, and since it is endangered, Tarsier Spirit gives 10% of the profits to organizations that protect this species and its habitat. So we dare to promise that the gin from Tarsier leaves a good taste in the mouth – in more ways than one.
