FROST is our take on a clear Akvavit. FROST Akvavit is made in Nexø on Bornholm, – created from organic wheat and local spring water, which has been stored on mineral rock for billions of years. Combined, it gives the aquavit a mild and clean taste. With its discreet hint of cumin, dill and citrus, FROST Akvavit is fresh and silky on the palate and leaves you with a pleasant spicy aftertaste.

You can enjoy a FROST Akvavit at all the good times around the lunch table with the traditional Danish lunch dishes. FROST Akvavit never becomes dominant and is made for the classic cold table.

The aquavit goes particularly well with all types of fish and shellfish as well as light meat dishes. We recommend that you serve FROST at 5-7 degrees. In our universe, we have also created a number of drinks and cocktails.

With FROST Akvavit, we have created an organic akvavit that represents the best from Bornholm.

Behind Snaps Bornholm are three friends – Simon Lorentzo Jensen, John Oxlade and Jesper Kleine Rasmussen. Over several years, they have privately made their own chili schnapps, which has been very popular among friends. In 2015, the idea of putting the schnapps into production arose, and the search for a producing partner began. That led them to Bornholm and to De Bornholmske Spritfabrikker in Nexø. The meeting with Bornholm and the owner Niels Frost Jensen and his wife Erna made it clear that they had found the perfect business partner. Niels shares their great passion for schnapps, and it didn’t take long for them to agree to play and experiment with natural, organic ingredients to arrive at a Bornholm schnapps of the finest quality. A schnapps brewed on proud traditions with a modern twist that piques curiosity and provokes the senses.
