Sacred Organic Gin is Sacred Spirits’ certified organic gin. The gin is made from a blend of 12 different botanicals, with juniper as the dominant flavor. Ian distills all his botanicals individually and then blends the gin in his home living room in Highgate, London.
Sacred Organic Gin is a London Dry Gin, meaning it primarily has a juniper-forward flavor. The percentage of juniper is higher than in Sacred Gin (which contains 65% juniper), and it also has a higher content of pink grapefruit distillate. Sacred Organic Gin is made without artificial flavorings, and all ingredients are organic.
Sacred Organic Gin is absolutely fantastic for a Dry Martini and works beautifully in a Gin & Tonic.
Sacred Spirits is based in Highgate, London, where Ian Hart distills vodka, gin, vermouth, and bitters. After completing his chemistry degree, Ian worked as a broker on Wall Street but wanted to use his education for something more tangible. Having collected Bordeaux wines for years, he initially sought to preserve their quality. Over time, he “invented” a gin, which he brought to his local pub. It was an instant success, and soon, his small entrepreneurial family—including his wife, Hilary—became part of the business.
What makes Sacred special is that it is distilled under vacuum at low temperatures. Later, Ian was approached by the bar manager at The Dukes Hotel in London, who had tasted his gin. Suddenly, Ian found himself delivering gin across the city using the London Tube. Eventually, he had to switch to a professional distributor, and the rest is history.
The exceptional quality of Sacred Gin led to its expansion—first across the UK and then internationally. In 2013, Sacred Gin won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
