Ricossa Barolo Riserva 2017 DOCG 75 cl.

Langhe Vino Italiano

Ricossa Barolo Riserva is made from hand-harvested grapes from different zones; Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga and la Morra.
It is aged for 24 months in oak casks of varying sizes with a subsequent year-long storage in tank and bottle before release. Thus the theme is on: here it is about storage aromas.

The scent has complex perfumed aromas of forest floor, leather and red roses, oak from barrel aging and ethereal aromas of bulwarks and camphor. The taste has a lovely mixture of fullness and firmness, which, due to the tannic acid of the Nebbiolo grape, keeps all proportions in place and prevents the wine from becoming heavy. The aftertaste has a nice length and ends with a dry farewell salute.

This is an unrivaled food wine, created for mushroom risotto with piped caps, rustic stews and roasts with salt and power, where the firmness of the wine has the opportunity to tame the food. You can also buy a good piece of parmesan cheese as a worthy companion to the wine, if it needs to be extra unhealthy.

Enjoy from spacious glasses at approx. 17°.

We recommend that you do not pour your Barolo into a decanter, but that 12-24 hours before the wine is to be consumed, you instead lift the cork, self-test half a glass and put the cork back in.
When serving, pour generously into the glasses and watch the wine develop in the glass.

Alternatively, you forget the above, enjoy life and drink the wine without further frills.
