CRISP AND HARMONIOUS
The individual parcels ferment both in casks and in stainless steel tanks before they are put together. Outerbound Chardonnay is medium-bodied and crisp on the palate. One senses notes of passion fruit, grape and a bit of pepper. The aftertaste is round and persistent.

The grapes for Outerbound Chardonnay come from two different vineyards in the Sonoma Coast. Here are citrus, minerals and acidity from the Keller vineyard and luxurious tropical fruit notes from Reis Vineyards. The grapes are of high quality pgs. The sun exposure, the soil and the very special microclimate in the area.
In the cool Petaluma Gap, Keller Estates sits near San Pablo Bay. The soil is clayey and rich in minerals. The vineyards are cultivated without the use of pesticides. Each vine produces only a few kg of fruit. The grapes have intense aromas and a clear acidity. The grapes are harvested at night to ensure that the grapes arrive fresh and cool at the vineyard.

The two brothers Michael and David Phillips descend from a family of farmers who have grown grapes in the Lodi area of California for almost a century. Today, the family business has expanded with 6th generation Kevin Phillips and Melissa Phillips Stroud. The family continues the tradition of producing high quality wines with eye-catching and unique labels.
Michael David Winery farms with respect for future generations and has implemented some of the most progressive and sustainable farming practices in California. The family grows wine on 300 ha and, starting with the 2011 vintage, all Lodi grapes from Michael David Winery are certified sustainable.
