A tapping of signatory from this Speyside distillery. Mortlach is a rich whiskey, and it is always nice to try it, bottled by independent decants.
Mortlach was founded in 1823 and has been used for blending for many years, as blenders find the fuller style good in their prescriptions.
Mortlach has always been a little cult, a juicy malt whiskey, with agen, hazelnut, figs and pickled orange on scent and taste.
