Ross is one of the twelve noble malts in The Thane series from Macbeth. A well aged single malt from iconic distillery Ben Nevis has been chosen, matured for 28 years in refill hogsheads. A limited release of only 650 bottles, filled at 50.4% vol.

The trappings of elegance are draped around this substantial frame. There is heft here, the impression of greatness, but those muscles are now larded with mutton fat, the belly soft. A social creature enveloping you in a warm embrace, but there’s a sidelong glance as the opportunities are reckoned by this sleekit player, always picking the right side.

Released as part of the Macbeth series from Livingstone, that feature illustrations by Sir Quentin Blake and character descriptions for the whiskies by Dave Broom.
