Signatory Vintage unveils a new series, “Symington’s Choice,” highlighting the most exceptional casks from the Pitlochry warehouses. This 25-year-old Macallan is a single cask distilled on September 24, 1997, and aged in Oloroso sherry casks. It was bottled on February 9, 2023, at its natural strength of 54,8%, non-chill-filtered, and without added colorant. This is a limited edition, with only 649 bottles available.
TASTING NOTES
Nose : Rich and fruity. The nose opens with notes of raisins, figs, and dates. Deep candied fruit flavors emerge, blending with hints of butter, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Appearance : Ambrée
Palate : Velvety and profound. Dried fruit flavors dominate, with notes of raisins, figs, and dates, along with a delicate touch of nutty bitterness.
Overall : Long and enduring. The dried fruits and cocoa persist, leaving a warm sensation in the mouth. Notes of dark tobacco and roasted coffee add a complex and mature dimension.
