Lysholm Trondhjem Aquavit 70 cl. 41,5%

Lysholm Throndhjemsaquavit is a full-bodied, barrel-aged aquavit, produced at the behest of Trondhjem’s Aquavitklub, who believed that the town’s 1000th anniversary required a suitably dignified fluid to toast in. Lysholm agreed, and Throndhjemsaquavit became an immediate success. The akvavit is aged for a full 36 months in casks before bottling, which takes place at 41.5% alcohol. The taste is intense and concentrated, with an elegant finish and great depth.

Colour: Golden.
Aroma: Lots of dried fruit, caramel and a hint of smoke.
Tasting notes: Full-bodied, with notes of vanilla, licorice, oak and cumin. Light sweetness and long aftertaste.

Serving suggestion: Enjoy it slightly chilled, e.g. with game or the cheese board.

Lysholm Trondhjem Aquavit is an aquavit that was launched in connection with the 1000th anniversary of the founding of the Norwegian city of Trondheim – home of the producer behind the aquavit, the Lysholm family. For the same reason, it is also based on the original Lysholm recipe, which has an approximately milder taste than other classic aquavits. The color is deep golden, while the delightfully mature taste of classic Lysholm akvavit shines through with spicy aromas from the barrel, wood tannins and a light hint of licorice.
