Carmignano Riserva Le Farnete comes from a careful selection of Sangiovese (80%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) grapes made in our oldest vineyards with perfect southern exposure for excellent maturation.
Fermentation occurs with long macerations, pumping over and frequent wetting. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is left to mature in medium-aged French oak barriques for a minimum of twelve months.
It is subsequently bottled and refined in the bottle before being put on the market, for a period of no less than one year.
The Tenuta Le Farnete is located in Comeana in the municipality of Carmignano, not far from Florence, it extends for 50 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and woods and has belonged to the Pierazzuoli family since 1990. The most renowned products of the estate are the Carmignano DOCG and the Le Farnete extra virgin olive oil, as well as of course the Barco Reale DOC di Carmignano and the Carmignano DOCG Riserva.
