The wine is elegant pale yellow with a characteristic bouquet dominated by floral aromas. On the palate, the clear character of the Sylvaner grape is felt; slightly dry, soft and harmonious.
Henri Ehrhart Sylvaner is a fine match for starters, salads, pies, seafood or for typical Alsatian dishes.

Manufacturing

Henri Ehrhart Sylvaner is made from the Sylvaner white wine grape. The grapes come from Henri Ehrhart’s own fields, and the wine is made in their own winery and bottling plant in Ammerschwihr.

Henri Ehrhart is the only family-owned winery among the top 10 wineries in Alsace.

Maison Henri Ehrhart: In the 70s, Henri Ehrhart bought 4 hectares of vineyards around the small picturesque town of Ammerschwihr approx. 8 km. west of Colmar – the “capital” of Alsatian wines. Over the years, the family company has grown to be the fifth largest producer of Alsatian wines with 7 million bottles annually, and the company is today run by son Cyrille Ehrhart.

With their own winery and bottling plant in Ammerschwihr and with the very latest technology, the Ehrhart family has control over the quality of their wines and can bottle the wines at exactly the right time.

The Ehrhart family has a finger on both the French and international pulse, and the company is adept at adapting to consumers’ tastes in wine.
