Gilde Taffel Aquavit 70 cl. 37,5%

Gilde Taffel Aquavit is a classic, Norwegian lunch aquavit, strongly flavored with classic herbs and spices such as cumin, anise and citrus. It is also aged 3-6 months in old oak barrels. Since the casks are well used, they do not give any significant color or taste, but the resting time gathers the flavors from the spices into a nice whole.

Color: Clear.
Aroma: Spicy aroma with lots of cumin, citrus and hints of licorice.
Tasting notes: In the mouth it is round and soft but with lots of flavour. Fresh and spicy.

Serving suggestion: The obvious accompaniment to the Danish (or Norwegian) lunch table. Enjoy it slightly chilled, but not necessarily ice cold.

Gilde Taffel is a Norwegian akvavit that has had a permanent place on the Norwegian festive table since 1957. It has a strong and spicy flavor of cumin, anise and citrus, as well as a delicate hint of the old oak barrels in which it has been aged. In addition to a light nuance of taste, the aging process also gives the aquavit a round and fine taste, which, however, never overwhelms its spicy nature. Enjoy with traditional Norwegian dishes or as an aperitif and avec.

Arcus is one of the Nordic region’s largest wine and spirits distributors. The company’s roots go back to the 1800s, when the trade started with casks of aquavit, and it is definitely aquavit that is Arcus’ greatest strength today – they are probably one of the best in the discipline at all!

In 2012, Arcus bought De Danske Spritfabrikker, and their impressive portfolio thus includes brands such as Aalborg Akvavit, Gammel Dansk and Braastad Cognac, in addition to all the Norwegian classics such as Lysholm, Løiten, Gammel Opland and a large number of other old, traditional brands.
