Although Fuligni is best known for being behind some of the most distinguished Brunello di Montalcino wines, grapes other than Sangiovese are also mastered at this legendary winemaker.
Here, the Merlot grape is allowed to shine, and there are few other producers in all of Tuscany who manage to create an equally magnificent wine from this grape. Because with Joanni, Fuligni has created a wine with a completely unique and impressive balance between the soft and smooth expression that characterizes the Merlot grape, but at the same time the wine possesses tremendous finesse.
The taste offers notes of ripe plums, dark spices and vanilla, but at the same time it has the charming floral undertones that raise it to a really high level. The wine first ages for a full 3 years in French oak casks and then 1 year in bottle before release.
