Piemonte – Italy
Fontanabianca Barbaresco Serraboella is grown on a soil that is a mixture of clay and limestone. The fields are located at 300 m above sea level, and the grape variety is Nebbiolo. On average, the vines are 25-30 years old. The winemaking takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, and then in large barrels for 12-15 months to finish the maturation in bottle for 8 months. The color is ruby red to deep red. Fragrances are elegant and harmonious. The taste has dry and velvety tannins. Fontanabianca Barbaresco Serraboella goes well with roasts, game and cheeses. It should be drunk at a temperature of 18 degrees in a red wine glass.
Vinification: Fermentation takes place in steel tanks under controlled temperature for 30 days and then aged in large oak barrels for 15 months, 2 months in cement tanks and then in bottle for 8 months
The wine’s profile: The aroma speaks of a harmonious wine made from Nebbiolo with notes of cherry, spice and violet. Silky tannins meet you in the mouth together with red fruit. A very smooth and elegant Barbaresco that is fantastically drinkable even when young for those of you who can’t stand to wait.
