Don Papa Gayuma Rum is the latest creation from Don Papa. “Gayuma” means “love potion,” and this super-premium rum pays tribute to the unique rituals performed by shamans on Mt. Kanlaon, where the rum is produced. It is initially aged in American ex-bourbon barrels for three years, after which it undergoes a double finish: six months in ex-Rioja wine casks followed by three months in smoky oak barrels previously used for legendary Islay Scotch whisky.
This rum offers a lightly smoky, fruity aroma. Its taste is smooth and delicate, with notes of vanilla, orange peel, cocoa, cloves, and mint. The smoke is rich with sweetness, enhancing a pleasant and spicy finish.
