DICTADOR LIBRETO RUM 43% Port Cask Vintage 1999 Dictador is a nice and fruity rum.
The Libreto series, together with the Sinfonia series, are the latest special launches from Master Blender Hernan Parra. Each bottle is aged in American oak, and some have been finished in either Sherry casks or Port wine casks. It is vintage rum and single cask from the best drawer. Find your own favorite!

The Port Cask version from 1999 with its 43% maintains a nice balance between alcohol and fruit, in the nose there are notes of blood orange, strawberries and walnuts in honey. There are notes of smoked figs and a depth and fine integration with notes of black cherries. Nicely fruity. In the mouth, there is more movement in the black cherries, there are spicy notes that support the fruitiness, and hints of burnt orange peel. There is more fruit in the finish, some orange notes and hints of freshly ground pepper.
