Dictador 12 Years, is a 12 year old rum, where it is not the oldest that is 12 years old, but the whole content. Clear amber-gold color. The aroma offers rich sweet caramel, honey and hard roasted coffee. The taste is sweet with the characteristic notes of cocoa, honey and burnt rancio nuances. The good body and texture appear beautifully together with the long aftertaste. In the past, the rum has been published as a rum where only the oldest has been 12 years old, but for a number of years we have worked to consolidate only rum casks that had a minimum age, so that today the rum is 100% 12 years or older.
Dictador is a Colombian rum producer whose strong roots date back to 1913, when the company was founded under the name Destilería Colombiana by Don Julio Aango y Parra.
