Clase Azul Tequila Ultra Añejo 70 cl. 40%
Premium Añejo Tequila
Clase Azul is a family-owned tequila producer based in the small village of Santa Maria Canchesda in Los Altos, the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.
This exclusive artisan tequila is made from blue agave, which grows in the highlands for nine to twelve years before being hand-harvested. The agave is then baked whole in traditional brick ovens for 72-80 hours. Once baked, the agave is crushed and fermented with natural yeast. After fermentation, the tequila undergoes double distillation in copper stills.
Clase Azul Ultra Añejo is the premium offering in the lineup, aged for five years in sherry casks to achieve its deep reddish-brown color and silky smooth character. The flavor is exceptionally balanced and elegant, with subtle notes of spices like cinnamon and vanilla, followed by a long, refined finish of candied macadamia nuts.
Collaboration with and respect for the indigenous Mazahua people, along with their ancient traditions in ceramics and painting, have given Clase Azul its distinctive bottles. Each bottle takes 11 days to craft, and since they are shaped and painted entirely by hand, every bottle is unique.
For the exclusive Clase Azul Ultra Añejo, the bottle is adorned with platinum, silver, and 24-karat gold.
Clase Azul Reposado is aged for 8 months in bourbon barrels. Clase Azul Añejo then uses these barrels for an additional 25 months of aging. Clase Azul Ultra is aged for a full five years in sherry casks, giving it its deep reddish-brown color and silky smooth character.
