Clase Azul Mescal Guerrero 70 cl. 42%
Premium Mescal
Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero is made from Papalote agave from Guerrero, located south of Jalisco in Mexico, where this agave grows wild. Mezcal Guerrero is a richer version of the agave spirit mezcal, with notes of grapefruit, buttery fruit flavors, and tobacco.
The bottle design is intended to honor the female Mexican ancestors and their warrior spirit, which is a significant part of Guerrero’s culture. The green color represents the jade gemstone, a symbol of eternity. The colorful cap with a painted hummingbird refers to the mythical messenger of the gods and has also become a symbol from the region. The bottle is painted with volcanic dust, reflecting the production process in which volcanic stones are used to bake the agave, naturally imparting a mild smokiness to the mezcal.
Clase Azul is a family-owned producer of premium tequila and mezcal from the small village of Santa Maria Canchesda in Los Altos, the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Their collaboration with and respect for the indigenous Mazahua people and their ancient traditions in ceramics and painting have resulted in Clase Azul’s distinctive bottles. Each bottle takes 11 days to craft, and since they are shaped and painted by hand, every bottle is completely unique.
Clase Azul Reposado is aged for 8 months in bourbon barrels. Clase Azul Añejo then uses these barrels for an additional 25 months of aging. Clase Azul Ultra is aged for a full five years in sherry casks, giving it its deep reddish-brown color and silky smooth character.
