Blandy’s Harvest Malmsey 2014 is a dark, sweet and intense Madeira made from 100% Malmsey from a single vintage. The grapes come from Blandy’s own fields in São Jorge on the north coast of the island, where the temperature is slightly lower and the sea breeze blows through the fields. The wine contains 111 grams of sugar per litre, which makes it a good match for desserts with chocolate or nuts – but it also has the right amount of acidity so as not to feel too sweet.
Colour: Deep amber.
Aroma: Delicious aroma of candied fruit, black tea, old brandy and vanilla bean.
Tasting notes: Rich and sweet. Notes of honey, oak and light chocolate.
