The grapes for the Gran Reserva are grown in Baron de Ley’s vineyards located in Cenicero, Rioja Alta. Here, the optimal combination of Mediterranean climate, Atlantic influences, and low-yield vines creates elegant wines with great aging potential. This Gran Reserva is crafted from a selection of grapes grown in the best soils. Only harvests from the finest vintages are released for sale. The wine is aged for at least 24 months in American and French oak barrels and then another 36 months in the bottle. This results in exceptional complexity in aromas and a smooth, creamy structure.
