Located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, Meursault is one of the flagship villages and among the most famous in Burgundy. It is remembered as the capital of the great whites.
Premier Cru “Les Charmes” is a climate of the highest order, where two types of terroir stand out: a clay soil in the lower part of Charmes-Dessous, which gives Meursault opulence and generosity, and a finer and therefore closer to the limestone. mother rock, in Charmes-Dessus, leading to more airy, mineral and chiseled wines.
We are fortunate to own two plots in Charmes-Dessus and one plot in Charmes-Dessous. Their combination reveals a particularly complex nectar with perfect balance.
Generous and charming bouquet with notes of candied lemon, almonds, white flowers, spices and bread straight out of the oven. Complex, full and coated palate, with a light mineral tension that gives it perfect balance. Long, delicious finish with accents of brioche and spices.

The Maison Albert Bichot wine company was founded by Bernard Bichot in 1831 in the small town of Monthelie. Today, the sixth generation runs the company, which is based in Beaune just outside the city walls. Bichot represents fields all over Burgundy, and is today one of the largest Burgundy exporters. Furthermore, Bichot owns the four highly respected Domaines: Domaine Adélie in Mercurey, Domaine Long-Depaquit in Chablis, Domaine du Clos Frantin in Nuits-Saint-Georges and Domaine du Pavillon in Pommard.
Over the past few years, Maison Albert Bichot has gone through a generational change, not only in the management of the company, which is currently handled by Alberic Bichot, but also in the entire structure around viticulture and vinification. From previously growing and producing largely all wines centrally from Beaune, today teams of vintners have been created who are specialists in the production of wine – whether in Chablis, Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits or elsewhere . Likewise, production takes place on the domains before the finished wines are brought to the cellars in Beaune, from where they are packed and sent out to all corners of the world.
Since Bichot bought the Domaine du Pavillon in Pommard in 1993, the domaine has expanded to today own 17 hectares. Domaine du Pavillon with associated winery is located in the heart of the 4 hectare Clos des Ursulines vineyard. As at Domaine du Clos Frantin, the entire mechanical production apparatus has been eliminated in favor of manual precision work. In the estate’s vineyards, chemical growth promoters have also been eliminated in favor of natural fertilizers. If necessary, green harvesting is also used to achieve high grape quality with a low yield. The annual production at Domaine du Pavillon is only 90,000 bottles. It can also be mentioned that Bichot’s managing director Alberic Bichot (born in 1964) together with his wife and two children, lives on a daily basis at the very beautiful Domaine du Pavillon.
