A strong rum from St. Lucia, developed and bottled exclusively for Denmark! Admiral Rodney HMS Monarch is named after the ship of the same name, which i.a. participated in the Battle of Skagerrak. The rum is made from molasses and distilled in column stills, after which it is aged in both bourbon casks and port wine casks, which gives the full-bodied rum plenty of red fruit and a hint of sweetness.
Colour: Mahogany.
Aroma: Notes of raisins and vanilla and a touch of red berries.
Taste: Soft and sweet with pleasant sugar, confectionery and candied fruit before a long aftertaste steals the show with hints of oak and warm spices in a balanced and complex experience.
