A.H. Riise Rome is a tribute to one of the most entreprenean Danes, Albert Heinrich Riise, who with great success drove his pharmacy in Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas in the period 1838 to 1878.
A relaunch from the original recipe for “Royal Navy Strength”, a Rome like Albert Heinrich Riise created and delivered to the navy ships when they call the harbor in Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas.
The room is “blend” of several, up to 20 year old Rome of the “Sugarburn and Plummer” – molasses-based ROM, which is characterized by slow fermentation and pot-still distilled up to 85% alcohol strength.
It gives a fantastic room with an extremely dark, almost black color and great complexity. Riise Royal Navy Strength Space is hand blended in small parties and is not cold filtered or added caramel.

Change dark fruit, burnt figs, orange peel, coffee, licorice, molasses and cedar
Taste
Creamy, spicy and very elegant taste of pomerans and bergamot fruits, and rich with sherry caramel, daddler, cardamom and eucalyptus
Aftertaste
Long, massive, bold, creamy, sweet and seasoned with a lovely minted overtone
