HMS Formidable was Admiral Rodney’s own ship during the Battle of the Saints – and the room is also quite special. St. Lucia Distillers explains that the blend is composed exclusively of rum, which is “taken out” at the bottom of the distillation column, which gives a far more powerful and complex rum. Basically a rum with more flavor! The various components in the blend are aged between 9 and 12 years in bourbon casks.
Colour: Dark golden.
Aroma: Notes of raisins, vanilla pods and honey.
Tasting notes: Deep, dark and complex and – despite the low alcohol – lots of flavour.
