The copper stills that were brought to the Diplomáticos La Miel Distillery in 1959 originally came from Scotland and were used for whisky production.
The Diplomático Single Vintage 2008 is produced from special reserves that have developed in an exceptional way over twelve years. Vintage batches from a single distillation year are combined. After maturing in ex-bourbon, ex-single malt whisky and new American oak casks, it spends a further year in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks for its finish. (automated translation)
